Students in the 9-week general music class were assigned a project in which they choose a Music Period: Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, or Jazz. The students identified the characteristics of the period and a composer of that period. Students then created an presentation accompanied by a selection of that composer.

Students use Morse Code to create name rhythms then using the Big Three chords of music: I, IV, and V they create a chord progression for their names. Using Garage Band and a MIDI board, students play their name chord progression and accessorize it using the various features of Garage Band.
